Inspiring Marymount Faculty

Not only have Susie Martin and Patrick Webster devoted their lives to teaching and advising Marymount students for a combined total of 52 years, but they continue to mentor numerous students and alumni outside of the classroom/campus. In addition to giving their time, they also choose to give of their resources to Marymount. Susie has been giving to Marymount since 1990, and still continues to give today.

Brick Pavers

Marymount California is celebrating our legacy, first as a high school, then as a two year college and now as a four year University by providing engraved brick pavers that will be installed at the heart of the Oceanview campus in Rancho Palos Verdes! These pavers will be seen by thousands of students and visitors for generations to come. The pavers will be placed adjacent to the Mother Mary statue in Chapel Circle, and will be unveiled in time for the 2014 commencement ceremonies.

Marymount Receives Honors for Athletes of Character and Academic Achievement

Marymount California has earned top honors from the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The NAIA, a governing body for college and university athletic programs, awarded its “Five Stars” honor to Marymount for achievement in the NAIA’s 2012-2013 Champions of Character program that instills character development and academic achievement in student athletes.

Intramural Sports

The Office of Student Life is excited to offer free participation in all intramural sports programs for Marymount students who have paid their tuition for the semester and are in good academic standing. Presently, only students are eligible to participate. There are several leagues to choose from and all skill

Excellence in Leadership Speakers’ Series

At Marymount California University, we place great importance on learning through real world experience. As part of this mission, we are bringing prominent California leaders to our University to discuss leadership challenges and opportunities in the 21st century. This series supports the development of Marymount students, but is open to the public. A reception will follow both events.
