New Health Insurance Requirement

Effective fall 2017 all full-time students are required to have health insurance during their enrollment at MCU. Students may elect coverage through their own individual/family plan or the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan. Students registered for undergraduate or graduate classes will be automatically enrolled in the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan and charged through their tuition statement each semester.

Beginning June 15, 2017 domestic students may apply to waive or refuse the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan. To receive a waiver you must submit proof of health insurance online to the waiver portal.

Applying for a waiver does not guarantee approval. The waiver application portal deadline is the add/drop date for each semester.

You can confirm your enrollment in the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan by doing nothing. Enrollment is automatic.
