Campus Safety and Security

Campus Safety

A Secure Environment in which to Learn and Work

Marymount California University students, staff and visitors can count on the Campus Safety and Security department to provide the highest quality public service. Our one lieutenant, one sergeant, one corporal and 15 officers maintain California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) licenses and remain current in first aid and CPR certifications.

On the main campus, officers are on duty 24 hours a day. If an emergency occurs between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., dial “0” and the receptionist will connect you with security. Officers also may be reached at all times by dialing ext. 300 or (310) 261-6150. The campus safety officer's desk is located at OS 231.

MCU ALERT

Marymount has an alert system to notify students and/or their parents instantaneously via voice, text, email, Twitter and Facebook. Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all students provide emergency contact information by completing an online form.

Access the form at MCU ALERT. Please fill out the information as soon as possible.

An emergency includes acts of God or safety concerns that result in a need to alter plans (e.g., an earthquake).

By submitting this information you are responsible for any surcharges, fees or penalties for the receipt of emergency or test messages to your personal email, cell phone or other emergency telephone number that may be assessed by your service provider. Your information is kept confidential and used only in an emergency.
