Hard at work to create beautiful campuses

In January, Marymount California University began a new facility services partnership with SSC, a firm with 47 years of experience serving education sites. With service agreements at institutions across the country, SSC maintains properties for 75 school districts and 55 college and university campuses.

In designing its own outstanding classrooms, Marymount California University considered the benefits of easily movable classroom furniture, sufficient electrical resources for electronic plug-ins, teaching support technology at the lectern, lighting, and a comfortable room temperature.

As a student I studied global studies and business, so I came to MCU wanting to fuse the best of business and philanthropy. I basically wanted to learn how to change the world. I knew that I didn’t know everything, but my freshman year certainly taught me that I had a lot more to learn than I had anticipated.

In Memoriam

The Marymount California University community wishes to extend its condolences to the family and friends of alumni Sean Hunter; former professor Earle Roddy; former employee’s spouse, Ryan Call; former Marymount bookstore employee Lucy DiRocco; and in the passing of Michael Wade, spouse of employee Virginia Wade and father of employee Christy Wade and three other siblings. All four children are Marymount alumni.

Although the spring sports are only a couple of months into their seasons, some notable achievements include the following: men’s golf finishing top three in the Master’s Spring Invitational, beating the fifth-ranked team in the nation.

Student Career Fair Coming March 30th

On Thursday, March 30, representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), U.S. Secret Service, Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Border Patrol, the U.S. Marshall Service, a private detective agency, and a graduate school enrollment counselor from Pacific Coast University School of Law will be meeting with students at the Criminal Justice Career Fair.
