Students to Receive University Credit for Courses Taught at High Schools

A Head Start on Your University Career

Enrollment begins in September for the new Marymount California University High School Site Program. Qualified high school students will have the opportunity to enroll in University courses and earn a total of 60 units of college-level credit. Classes are held at partner high schools throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties. Information sessions are coming soon to each location. Please check this Web site for dates and times.

High school teachers, trained and mentored by Marymount faculty, teach the University courses at their individual school sites. Courses run concurrently with selected Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes and are taught during the school day, after school, during the summer and online.

Each course covers the same content, has the same Student Learning Outcomes and gives the same credit as it would if taught on campus at Marymount California University. Many of these courses are preapproved for transfer to California State Universities and University of California schools, as well as private colleges and universities. This means that students graduating from high school with credits from these courses may enter colleges and universities with an advanced class standing. Visit Assist.org to learn how Marymount courses can be applied when transferred.
