Marymount California University Ranked 15th Regionally by U.S. News & World Report

Marymount California University Best Regional Colleges - West 2019

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Marymount California University was ranked 15th among Regional Colleges West by U.S. News & World Report on its list of 2019Best Colleges”. The university’s ranking has improved three positions since it was first ranked two years ago.

“We are very proud to see Marymount California University climb in rankings since our debut two years ago,” said Brian Marcotte, Marymount California University President. “Our small, supportive community, dedicated faculty and commitment to student success create a valuable student experience. We’re happy to see that reflected in this year’s ranking and we hope to climb even higher in the years to come.”

“This recognition is a tribute to the close faculty interaction we offer our students, with small classes and close mentoring in each program,” added Ariane Schauer, Ph.D., Provost of Marymount California University.

U.S. News & World Report releases its rankings of colleges and universities annually. These rankings are based on 16 measures of academic quality and emphasize the strength of faculty and student outcomes such as first-year student retention and graduation rates. According to the publisher, schools are grouped by academic mission into 10 categories for 10 distinct rankings.
