Network and Wireless
Marymount offers these options for your WiFi needs.
MCU Secure Network
Secure WiFi network for MCU students, faculty and staff
- Select the MCU Secure SSID (the name of your WiFi network).
- Log in using your Marymount NetID (username and password).
Marymount Public Network
The Villas’ unsecured (open) shared WiFi network
- Shared network may result in slower speeds during heavy usage periods.
- Log into this network in public areas at the Villas, including the Pavilion and other open spaces.
In-Unit Network
The Villas’ secured (hidden) WiFi network
- Network has dedicated bandwidth, providing better performance.
- Log into this network while in your unit, using the assigned password.
Mac/iOS Devices
- Open airport/WiFi window.
- Choose “Other Network.”
- Enter your specific in-unit SSID in the network name field. Your SSID is marked on the front of the access point in each unit.
- Choose WPA2 as the security option.
- Enter your specific in-unit password in the password field. Your password is marked on the front of the access point in each unit.
- Press join.
Android Devices
- Open settings.
- Under WiFi networks, choose “add WiFi network.”
- Enter your specific in-unit SSID in the network name field. Your SSID is marked on the front of the access point in each unit.
- Choose WPA2 as the security option.
MCU Office Network
Secure WiFi network for staff at The Villas
- Select the MCU Office SSID (the name of your WiFi network).
- Log in using your Marymount NetID (username and password).
