MCU’s Student Wellness Center provides counseling services and wellness education, as well as referrals to off-campus providers. We can also assist with health requirements, such as information forms, immunization records and health insurance.

Students enrolled in MCU classes can utilize Student Wellness Center services, and faculty/staff can obtain a consultation.

Our counselors are mental health professionals who abide by legal and ethical state and national guidelines. All counselors specialize in college-related issues.

You do not have to pay to visit the Student Wellness Center. Services provided on campus are included in your student fees. If issues require longer-term therapy, more specialized services, or are life threatening, we may refer you to off-campus professionals or appropriate treatment centers.

Contact your primary care provider (the phone number and website are located on your insurance card). For assistance in finding a provider or other referrals, contact the Student Wellness Center. You can also call the WellFleet NurseLine at (800) 634-7629 or visit if you’re on the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). MCU students not on the Student Health Insurance Plan can contact the Optum NurseLine at (877) 856-8163.
