MCU Grad of the week, Alejandro Lesso

During graduation season, MCU is pleased to shine a light on a few of our students who are members of the Class of 2020.  Students who are candidates for graduation are showcased on a weekly basis leading up to the May commencement ceremony. 

What is your major?
Bachelor of Arts in Business Management

What are your plans after graduation? Your hopes for after graduation?
My plan after graduation is to earn a management position. In the meantime, I will be working on my MBA here at Marymount. In addition, I plan on working towards receiving my Series 7 license to become a stockbroker.

What is your favorite memory of MCU?
My favorite memory here at MCU is when I was part of the Men’s Soccer team and won the regular season title in 2017.

What advice do you have for other students?
My advice for other students is enjoy every moment in college, work hard towards your dreams, and get involved in anything that interests you.

What was your favorite experience at MCU?
One of my favorite experiences at MCU was being hired as a peer advisor and making meaningful connections with the students, faculty, and staff.

What was your favorite class at MCU and why?
My favorite classes were Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management and Investing because these classes have inspired me to peruse a career as a financial advisor.

Who inspired you at MCU and why?
I cannot choose a single person that has inspired me. The environment at MCU has helped me in my young adult development. The students, my co-workers, professors, and supervisors have all inspired me to achieve my fullest potential. I will take all that I have learned at MCU and apply to my professional and personal life.
