MCU President Brian MarcotteBrian Marcotte had been a member of the MCU Board of Trustees for over 8 years and before becoming the 8th President of Marymount California University on February 5, 2018.

He is an experienced executive, having been the CEO and President of Titan Oil Recovery for nine years and before that was with Unocal Corporation, a multi-national energy resources company, serving as Corporate Vice President of Public Policy, Health Environment and Safety;  Vice President International Energy Operations for the countries of Indonesia and Thailand; Vice President of Planning and Asset Management; Vice President Technology and Asset Management; and Vice President Western Region in the North American Oil and Gas Division.

Mr. Marcotte has also served as a member and Vice Chairman of the Petroleum Institute of Thailand’s Council of Trustees; Chulalongkorn University Sasin Graduate School Advisory Council; member of the Thailand Development Research Institute; President of the Board of Directors for the Indonesian Petroleum Association, the Board of Management for the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (Fulbright Scholarships), and the University of Southern California School of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council.

Mr. Marcotte has been married for 44 years to his wife Nan.  They have 2 grown children – Addam, who is Principal and General Manager of f FMG Leading, a human capital strategy advisory firm headquartered in San Diego, and Brianna, who is in the process of establishing a therapeutic horsemanship program for children and adults with physical disabilities.
