Ryan Alcantara is responsible for the overall vision and effectiveness of the university’s Student Affairs division, including developing and overseeing programs that foster a student-centered approach to learning and promote the development of the whole person, as well as integrating student experiences with the university’s educational and Catholic mission. He also oversees advising services, disability resources, international services and study abroad, internships and career planning, residential life and student conduct, student life, and student wellness, as well as campus retention efforts.
Alcantara previously served as assistant vice chancellor and dean of students at the University of California, Riverside and associate vice president at California State University, Fullerton. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy and Rossier School of Education, as well as assistant professor of business at MCU.
Alcantara enjoys working in a small school setting, as it provides a unique opportunity to work closely with students alongside many dedicated professionals truly committed to seeing students excel.
